Job Overview
A Behaviour Mentor is needed in a Mixed Secondary School and Sixth Form in South East London. This role is full‑time and long‑term.
Salary
Pay will be between £82.14 and £120 per day, depending on qualifications and experience.
Location
A Free School located in the London Borough of Greenwich, created from what was a former University Technical College. The school is between two scenic green spaces and serves boys and girls aged 11 to 19. Construction and Engineering are the specialisms.
Responsibilities
* Act as a mentor for students with behaviour needs through effective role‑modelling, forming positive relationships and utilising creative approaches to help them succeed and feel happy.
* Provide targeted interventions and support to students within the key stage and contribute to raising standards.
* Encourage and enable students to become independent and resilient learners by providing one‑to‑one and small‑group coaching in academic‑related skills, wellbeing, self‑management and emotional literacy.
Requirements
* Right to work in the UK.
* Clear and up‑to‑date Enhanced DBS.
* English and Maths GCSEs, grade A* to C/4+ or NVQ III.
* Experience as a Behaviour Mentor in UK secondary schools.
* Recent Graduate or experienced TA/Behaviour Mentor, or a British‑trained or overseas‑trained Behaviour Mentor.
