Project Manager – 6-month contract – London – SC Cleared My longstanding Financial customer is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join the Payments Innovation & Fintech Directorate. It is Essential that this Project Manager has strong experience with payments, ideally working within Wholesale, Digital and Retail Payments. This role sits in a central operations function made up of project management, governance, PMO and secretariat specialists, and will be key in ensuring smooth delivery across a programme with high public visibility and policy importance. Essential Skills & Experience Must hold a current Security Clearance Essential to have payments experience, ideally working within Wholesale, Digital and Retail Payments. Experience working in an environment where a number of division have merged Experience managing multiple complex projects at once Experience managing multi-disciplinary key workstreams on retail payments Proven end-to-end project delivery experience, including planning, estimating and RAID management. Strong stakeholder and senior-level engagement skills with the ability to influence and build consensus. Experience delivering projects across public and private sector environments. Key Responsibilities Manage multi-disciplinary key workstreams on retail payments work. Lead integrated programme planning for 2026, drawing on insights from earlier phases. Manage delivery across assigned workstreams, ensuring detailed plans reflect key interdependencies. Track project progress, highlight risks or issues early and drive appropriate corrective actions. Own RAID management and escalation processes. Coordinate programme reporting and ensure governance, QA and change control processes are followed. Work collaboratively with Operations, PMO and other PMs to avoid gaps or duplication in activity. The Project Manager is required onsite, 2 days per week in Central London.
