The Role
As a Sales Assistant, you will support your store team by driving sales performance and managing daily store operations. You will deliver exceptional customer service to enhance KPI performance.
Key Responsibilities
At Majestic Wine, our customers are at the heart of everything we do. You will be an ambassador for your store, supporting the team to provide an outstanding shopping experience.
We are looking for individuals who:
* Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities and supporting the team to meet and exceed targets
* Deliver exceptional customer service to foster loyalty and repeat business
* Provide VIP concierge services, keeping customers updated on products and tastings
* Share your passion for our products through in-depth knowledge and storytelling
* Take ownership of your wine knowledge, supporting your WSET qualification and confidence in selling
* Maintain the store’s appearance and ensure operational tasks are completed efficiently, including stock deliveries and customer interactions
* Identify opportunities for operational improvements and contribute ideas to the team
* Ensure compliance with internal policies and safety regulations
* Support and mentor junior team members and uphold the company's ways of working
* As a key holder, confidently operate the store independently during opening and closing hours
Knowledge & Skills Required
* Excellent time management, delegation, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to deliver exceptional customer experience and service
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Positive attitude and problem-solving mindset
* Adaptability and resilience
* Strong communication skills
* Passion to learn about wines, with a view to passing level 2 WSET qualifications
* Full UK/EU/EEA driving license held for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points

Job Specifics:
* Contract: Permanent
* Must be able to work weekends and evenings
* Driving a company van is essential; full UK manual license held for at least 12 months required
