We are looking for a MIG Welder and Fabricator to join our dynamic team in Swanscombe, where we specialize in the fabrication and assembly of high-quality steel components. We pride ourselves on our commitment to excellence and our supportive work environment.
Shift
* Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
* Overtime available
Pay rate: £19-£21 weekly paid
Key Responsibilities
* Manufacture sub-assemblies using MIG welding to support the main assembly bays.
* Produce main assemblies by MIG welding up to the paint stage.
* Sand and grind components or assemblies to remove splatter and ensure optimal fit.
* Assemble all components using power and hand tools.
* Ensure sound weld joints and a good cosmetic finish.
* Monitor all welding processes to prevent shrinkage and distortion.
* Perform any other reasonable duties as required.
Qualifications And Experience
* Minimum of 1 year of MIG welding experience.
* Ability to lift steel components and stand for long periods while manual MIG welding.
* Proficient in interpreting 3rd angle projection engineering drawings.
* welding assessment as part of the interview process.
* Experience with balconies and balustrades is a plus.
