Pharmacy Technician

Are you a motivated, compassionate Pharmacy Technician looking for a unique and rewarding role? Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (NHFT), is seeking a Band 4 Pharmacy Technician to join our dedicated, multidisciplinary healthcare team.

This role involves delivering safe medicines management, supporting the pharmacy team, and working across the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Please note this post is subject to security vetting. To be considered for this post you will need to have continuously resided in the UK for a minimum of 3 years prior to this application and be able to evidence your years of residency.
Main duties of the job
* Process prescriptions in line with SOPs and legislation
* Support medicines optimisation and provide patient advice within scope
* Manage stock, including ordering, rotation and CD documentation
* Assist with audits and incident reporting
* Work collaboratively with pharmacists, nurses, GPs and prison officers

Person Specification
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 / BTEC Level 3 in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent)
* CPD relevant to medicines management
* Experience or training in secure/prison settings
Skills / Knowledge
* Knowledge of medicines legislation incl. Misuse of Drugs Act
* Understanding of NHS medicines governance
* Basic IT & clinical system skills
* Experience with SystmOne
* Awareness of trauma-informed care

Security Vetting
