Green Cat Renewables require a Trainee Engineering Technician to join the Civil Engineering team in Edinburgh to work closely with the team providing technical drawings of civil and structural designs to be used in the planning and construction of wind farms, solar farms, hydrogen plants, and BESS sites as well as other civil and/or structural works, both in the UK and overseas.\nThe role includes an Engineering Apprenticeship with West Lothian College. More details will be provided upon application. The qualifications and courses will be completed alongside working in the Engineering design team. \nAs part of the Engineering design team, you will be working on the civil and structural design of exciting renewables developments across all renewable technologies from project inception all the way to completion. Under supervision, your roles and responsibilities might include:\nâ Providing technical drawings and models for renewable energy projects.\nâ Providing support to the Technical and Environmental Services team through preparation of drawings required for planning submission and other elements as required.\nâ Working with Revit and Civil 3D software.\nâ Continuing Professional Development with regards to the CAD software, BIM (Building Information Modelling), design and relevant standards â working towards EngTech status with ICE.\nâ Quality management of drawing issue and communication with the rest of the department.
