Neighbourhood Officer – Manchester
£23 – £26 per hour (umbrella)
Full-time, 35 hours per week | Monday to Friday
Hybrid working – 3 days on patch
3 month contract initially
We are seeking an experienced Neighbourhood Officer to join a busy housing team in Manchester. This is a hybrid role requiring a proactive individual to manage a patch of properties, providing a high-quality tenancy and estate management service.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a designated patch of properties, acting as first point of contact for tenants
* Deal with low-level anti-social behaviour, tenancy breaches, and estate issues
* Support tenants to sustain their tenancies, with a strong focus on income management and arrears recovery
* Undertake tenancy visits, inspections, and enforcement action where required
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, partner agencies, and residents to improve neighbourhoods
* Provide an excellent level of customer service, ensuring tenancy conditions are upheld
Requirements
* Previous experience in tenancy management and housing services, ideally with income recovery experience
* Good knowledge of housing legislation, tenancy management, and ASB processes
* A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential)
* Basic DBS (ideally in place or willingness to obtain)
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
* Ability to manage a varied workload across a patch of properties
Offer
* £23 – £26 umbrella per hour (dependent on experience)
* 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
* Hybrid working model – 3 days per week on patch, remainder from home
