Electrical Controls, Commissioning and Panel EngineerSalary: £52,000 pa (equivalent to £25.00 p/hr for a 40-hour week)Location: Bishop's Stortford - easy access from the M11 junction, near Stansted AirportHands-on role: panel wiring, electrical installation, testing and commissioningOn-site work: install, commission systems at client locationsReactive work: fault finding, breakdown diagnosis and repairRole overview:An established engineering/manufacturing business is looking for an Electrical Controls, Commissioning and Panel Engineer to support the wiring, installation, testing and commissioning of electrical control panels and skid-mounted systems. You'll also provide fault finding and breakdown support on installed equipment, both in-house and on client sites.Key responsibilities:Controls work and electrical panel wiringRead and interpret electrical drawings/schematicsElectrical installation of systems at client sitesTesting and commissioning of electrical panels, skids and associated equipmentFault finding, breakdown response and corrective repairs to restore operationSafe, competent use of power tools and hand toolsRequired experience / skills:Experience in controls and panel wiringAble to read electrical drawingsFamiliar with power tools and hand toolsStrong fault-finding mindset and a practical, safety-first approachDesired experiencePLCs and HMIs (user/diagnostic experience advantageous)Commissioning of electrical panels and skidsTesting and commissioning of electrical equipmentHRGO Recruitment provides both permanent and temporary job opportunities across the UK.
