AI Mentor & Coach
Fully Remote, UK | Full Time | £40,000-£50,000 DOE
We are working with a leading training provider to recruit an experienced AI Mentor to join their growing Delivery team. Every organisation is racing to figure out AI. The ones who win will have people inside their business who actually know how to use it, and who can bring everyone else with them. That's who our client trains. And they need mentors who can build them.
The Role
The successful candidate will mentor working professionals on an AI Champion Apprenticeship Programme, guiding them as they identify, implement and embed AI tools across their organisations. This is applied, real-world coaching. Learners aren't studying AI in theory; they're deploying it in live business environments while the mentor supports them through every step of the journey.
If you've led digital change, driven productivity through technology, or coached professionals to build serious capability, this is where that experience goes to work.
Key Responsibilities
* Running structured conversations with prospective learners to confirm they're the right fit for the programme
* Assessing learner progress throughout the programme and at key milestones against the standard's required knowledge, skills and behaviours
* Helping learners build a portfolio of work they can genuinely be proud of, showcasing real AI projects delivered in their workplace
* Getting learners fully prepared and confident heading into Gateway and their End Point Assessment
* Holding weekly check-ins, group sessions and drop-in support for whatever the cohort needs technically or otherwise
* Working closely with line managers to keep them engaged and gathering their final input ahead of EPA
* Keeping the Learner Success Team in the loop with clear, honest updates on how each learner is tracking
* Pitching in with the Faculty team on programme content and resolving learner queries through the ticket system
* Being the first port of call when learners hit a wall with their portfolio
* Upholding safeguarding responsibilities and actively promoting an inclusive learning environment for every learner
* Showing up for team meetings and rolling with whatever the business needs to make the programme a success
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Essential:
* Hands-on experience with modern AI and data tools, such as Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI, Power BI, ChatGPT, or similar
* A real track record of mentoring, coaching or teaching professionals, ideally in apprenticeships, digital skills or L&D
* Sharp prioritisation skills and the discipline to work within structured processes and deadlines
* Equally strong working solo or as part of a team
* Excellent written and verbal communication
* Composure under pressure and genuine care for the people they support
Nice to have:
* Experience leading business change, productivity transformation or digital adoption
* Background in education or an AI-related discipline
