We have an opening for a Sales Engineer, based at our new, purpose-built Glasgow office.
The successful applicant will be responsible for building close, effective relationships with both new and existing customers, securing new business and assisting with customer retention as maintenance contracts or warranty periods end.
This important target-driven role forms part of our existing and ongoing successful development and investment in Scotland.
The main areas of responsibility will include, but not be limited, to the following:
* Undertaking surveys as necessary.
* Generating proposals and managing enquiries for maintenance contracts, major repairs and upgrades.
* The preparation of pre-tender and tender returns.
* Presentations and client meetings.
* Expanding product knowledge, sourcing market and competitor information.
As always, personality and customer care are of vital importance; however, in the sales environment, the ability to professionally communicate through email, customer internet-based portals and other electronic media is an essential and consistent requirement.
The successful applicant will also have the following basic skills:
* Either 5 GCSE qualifications (or equivalent) at level A to C or relevant proven maintenance sales experience.
* Basic understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
* Ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues and internal departments.
