We are pleased to be expanding our Imaging Department at St Richard's Hospital as part of ongoing improvements to patient care and service delivery. As a Senior Imaging Clinical Support Worker, you will work alongside Radiographers and Radiologists to help ensure the smooth running of the Imaging Department.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate imaging workflow across specific modalities, assisting Radiographers with patient flow, equipment preparation and positioning of patients for imaging examinations.
* Perform pre‑examination checks, prepare equipment and contrast media and maintain equipment cleanliness and sterility.
* Assist with patient transfers and liaison with wards, porters and multidisciplinary team to ensure timely imaging.
* Provide caring activities for patients, ensuring confidentiality, privacy and dignity are respected.
* Carry out administrative and clerical duties, including reception cover, appointment booking and data entry on clinical systems.
* Work 37.5 hours per week, including evenings, nights and weekends as required.
* Maintain a high standard of care and comply with safety and infection control procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
* Previous healthcare experience essential, preferably in a medical imaging or similar setting.
* Strong interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Experience with imaging equipment and contrast media preparation is desirable.
* For visa sponsorship, a minimum of 2 years experience in the same role (Band 3 HCA) is required to meet salary thresholds.
