Hayward Hawk is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a client for an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper on a full-time, permanent basis. This hybrid role offers opportunities for growth and plays an important part in our client's continued success.
Responsibilities:
1. Record all financial transactions accurately in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage).
2. Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial documents for consistency.
3. Manage and process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
4. Prepare financial reports such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and trial balances on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
5. Assist with VAT, PAYE, and other tax-related filings.
6. Support payroll processing to ensure accurate and timely employee payments.
7. Maintain organized records of all financial transactions and documentation.
8. Assist in budgeting, financial forecasting, and analysis.
9. Support auditors during year-end financial audits with necessary documentation and explanations.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
* Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and MS Office.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
* Strong organizational and time-management skills.
* Ability to work independently and in a team.
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Knowledge of VAT, payroll, and tax regulations.
