We currently have an exciting role for a Commercial Sales Director providing an excellent opportunity to join the Moran Logistics Team at our Castle Donington Headquarters site. JOB PURPOSE: As Commercial Sales Director you will add value to our growth activities by identifying new commercial opportunities and managing marketing efforts. You will keep abreast of trends and market conditions to provide strategic advice to upper management. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: To promote and expand the company’s commercial activity that will generate revenues and lead to sustainable growth. Help develop, support, and implement commercial strategies according to company goals and objectives aiming to accelerate growth. To acquire new customers via a strategic pipeline, delivering against agreed growth targets. Find and nurture new business relationships with large retailers and food manufacturers to support the attainment of internal growth targets. Conduct market research and analysis to create detailed business plans on commercial opportunities. Take responsibility for key customer relationships to deliver pro-active management and deliver against financial expectations. Working with the relevant internal teams will be key to your success. Monitor performance of commercial activities using key metrics and prepare reports for the senior management team. Work closely with the Commercial Solution Managers to ensure due diligence is followed as the transition of the new account becomes their responsibility. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE Proven experience as a Sales Director or other 3PL relevant role. Proven experience and track record of delivering growth in line with agreed new business targets. Solid knowledge of performance reporting and pipeline management. Commercial awareness partnered with a strategic mind-set. Knowledge, understanding, and practical application of cost models to deliver a consistent approach and ensure agreed profitability targets are achieved. Excellent organizational skills, but able to work as a team or an individual. Professionally challenges solutions, whilst providing alternative solutions. Ability to provide and deliver presentations to prospect and existing customers. Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities. Traveling is key with this being a National role in UK.
