Job Title: Multi-Skilled Machine Operative
Location: Kettering
Hourly Rate: £13.46 per hour
Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday: 07:00 – 16:00
Friday: 07:00 – 13:00
Contract: Temp for minimum of 3 months
About the Role
We are looking for a candidate to join our clients busy production team in Kettering on a temporary basis.
The ideal candidate will have experience working within a production environment although specific experience is not required as training will be given on the use of the machines / guillotines.
You’ll be responsible for some elements of machine setup, programming, and ensuring high standards of quality and accuracy are maintained throughout the production process.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operate and set up various machinery, including guillotines and other metalworking equipment
2. Programme machines in line with job specifications and drawings
3. Handle and lift sheet metal safely (manual handling of heavy materials required)
4. Carry out basic mathematical calculations to ensure accuracy and correct tolerances
5. Inspect finished parts to maintain quality standards
6. Follow all health and safety guidelines and maintain a clean working environment
7. Work as part of a team to meet production targets and deadlines
