With innovation, secure delivery and time‑critical performance at our core, we continue to grow rapidly – and we're now looking for a Strategic Account Manager to join our Commercial team.

Why This Role Matters
You'll manage a portfolio of major customer accounts, each with complex, bespoke logistics solutions. Your ability to interpret performance data, strengthen key relationships, and identify opportunities for improvement will directly shape our service delivery and growth strategy.
Working closely with colleagues across Operations, IT and Commercial, you'll develop robust account plans, influence continual improvement initiatives and create proposals that enhance customer value and drive mutual success.
This is an office‑based role in Tamworth, with regular travel to sites across the UK.
What You'll Be Doing
Account Management
* Develop, plan and deliver account strategies that achieve revenue, profit and growth targets.
* Build strong, trusted customer relationships at multiple levels.
* Create and manage a pipeline of growth opportunities across existing accounts.
* Lead account performance meetings and respond effectively to service enquiries.
* Prepare high-quality presentations, proposals and sales performance reports.
* Work with Marketing to produce case studies, campaigns and testimonials that support retention and growth.
* Maintain up-to-date and accurate customer records, trackers and reporting activities.
* Champion collaboration across internal departments to improve customer outcomes.
Strategy & Best Practice
* Continuously improve key account management processes and new business approaches.
* Monitor market trends, customer pressures and competitor activity to inform commercial strategy.
* Identify risks, emerging opportunities and potential strategic partnerships.
* Ensure all proposals and contracts comply with governance, regulatory and pricing requirements.
What We're Looking ForExperience & Background
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a B2B account management or sales role (logistics experience preferred but not essential).
* Proven track record of managing large‑value customer accounts and delivering strong service outcomes.
* Experience working within strict governance and compliance frameworks.
* Demonstrated ability to meet monthly/quarterly/annual targets.
Skills & Attributes
* Strong commercial acumen and consultative approach to selling technical, operational and value‑driven solutions.
* Excellent relationship‑building and negotiation skills, including experience engaging senior stakeholders.
* Highly proactive, resilient and able to manage competing priorities.
* Exceptional attention to detail in all written and verbal communications.
* Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; confident managing and interpreting data.
* Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
