We are currently partnering with an Education Consultancy to recruit to recruit a People Partner on a permanent basis to support their schools in the Sheffield area. This role offers predominantly remote working, with travel to sites across the Sheffield region as required, and comes with a salary of £38,000 to £42,000 per annum.
This position would suit an experienced HR Advisor with strong stakeholder‑management skills, proven ER expertise and the confidence to influence, advise and deliver people initiatives across a fast‑paced, multi‑site environment.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
* Managing and supporting a portfolio of schools across all areas of People management, building trusted relationships with senior leaders
* Leading complex People and ER casework, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence, restructures, redundancies and TUPE
* Responding to a wide range of People enquiries via phone and email, providing clear, valuable and compliant guidance
* Representing customers at formal hearings and union consultations, offering expert interpretation of employment legislation, policy and best practice
* Coaching and mentoring junior team members to ensure customers receive timely, accurate and professional HR advice
* Providing strategic and operational leadership to drive the delivery of People plans and support organisational priorities
* Supporting talent pipelines and recruitment activity, including senior and C‑suite appointments
Experience and skills required:
* CIPD L5 qualified
* Minimum of 18 months’ experience in an HR advisory role, supporting managers on ER matters including grievance, disciplinary, absence, redundancy and appointments
* Proven experience attending and advising at hearings up to and including dismissal
* Strong ability to interpret employment legislation and apply it confidently to ensure compliance and best practice
* Skilled at building effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders, such as senior leaders, governors or equivalent
* Confident in negotiating and engaging with trade union representatives
* Comfortable working within established HR policies and procedures while maintaining a solutions‑focused approach
* Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to use initiative and think creatively
