Our client is an award-winning multi-disciplinary design consultancy seeking a Senior or Principal Infrastructure Engineer to join our growing team in Cambridge. We are dedicated to delivering sustainable developments throughout the UK.
What are we looking for?
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with a talent for thinking outside the box, who enjoys a collaborative approach to developing pragmatic and innovative design solutions for technical and environmental challenges in land development.
Ideally, candidates will have 3-5 years of proven experience in land development, strong 2D CAD skills, and experience in preparing General Arrangement plans and construction details. Some capability in developing 3D skills and familiarity with the following software is desirable:
* Autodesk CAD Essential
Proven track record of preparing technical submission drawings for S38/S278 and S104 submissions.
Your key areas of knowledge and expertise include:
* HNC or BEng Civil Engineering degree
* Background in consultancy/private sector development, especially residential projects
* Experience in highway and drainage design for private and adoptable works
* Production of technical drawings for tender and construction purposes for infrastructure projects
* Numeracy and software literacy, including 3D modelling, Microdrainage, and AutoCAD
* Knowledge of legal, planning, technical consent, adoption, and contract procedures for highway and drainage design, including Section 38/278 and Section 104 agreements
* Understanding of design codes and standards such as Manual for Streets, Local Authority Design guides, the SuDS Manual, DCG, etc.
