Overview
We are seeking a skilled Bricklayers and Hodcarriers to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of masonry techniques and have experience working with various materials. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. As a Bricklayer, you will play a crucial role in constructing and repairing structures, ensuring they meet quality standards and specifications.
Duties
* Lay bricks, blocks, and stone units according to specifications and blueprints.
* Prepare surfaces for bricklaying by cleaning and applying mortar or other bonding agents.
* Use hand tools and power tools effectively to cut, shape, and lay bricks.
* Ensure the structural integrity of walls, arches, and other masonry features.
* Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and roofers, to ensure seamless project execution.
* Perform repairs on existing structures, including repointing and replacing damaged bricks.
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following health and safety regulations.
* Keep accurate records of materials used and work completed.
Experience
* Proven experience in bricklaying or masonry is essential, CSCS CARDS required
* Familiarity with hand tools such as trowels, chisels, and levels is required.
* Experience with power tools relevant to masonry work is advantageous.
* Knowledge of bricklaying principles can enhance project outcomes.
