We are seeking a talented and motivated Finance professional for a key Finance Business Partner role supporting the Enabling departments and strategic investment projects at a national charity. Enabling departments include Finance, HR, IT, Property, and the CEO's office. You will deliver high-quality insight and financial management to ensure efficient and well-controlled support functions spend, and that strategic investment projects meet their business cases and budgets. The role requires confident communication at senior levels, good organization, workload prioritization, and meticulous attention to detail while meeting deadlines.
This position offers flexibility regarding work location. The organization has large offices in London and Peterborough, and smaller offices across the UK. Occasional travel for meetings may be required, but the role is primarily remote.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Finance Lead in providing comprehensive Finance Business Partnering services to various business areas.
* Prepare timely, accurate, and insightful management reports for budget holders to facilitate informed decision-making. Carry out month-end duties, including account reconciliations and journal postings.
* Assist in financial planning processes, providing analysis, guidance, and challenge to develop robust plans.
* Lead meetings with budget holders to review financial positions.
* Drive improvements in financial understanding and accountability to deliver excellent service.
What You Will Bring:

* Excellent collaboration skills to build relationships across Finance and non-Finance teams.
Your Experience:
* Experience in a Finance department providing management accounting, business partnering, or forecasting/budgeting support.
* Strong Excel skills and excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
* Experience working in a fast-paced environment, delivering accurate and timely information.
Highly Desirable:
* Experience in Financial Planning and Business Partnering, especially in operational functions like IT or Property, or in project-related roles.
* Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements in financial management.
* Progress towards ACMA / ACCA / ACA qualification or equivalent experience.
