What the Job Involves This role requires you to perform a range of cleaning and maintenance tasks across council estates. Your responsibilities include ensuring communal areas are kept clean and safe, completing ground maintenance tasks, monitoring for safety and maintenance issues, and liaising with contractors. You will also support estate inspections, manage waste and recycling procedures, and address any emergency situations that may arise. Being the first point of contact for residents, you will provide excellent customer service and escalate concerns when necessary. Skills Knowledge of cleaning materials and equipment Previous cleaning experience Understanding of health and safety regulations (COSHH) Data protection and confidentiality awareness Experience working with the public and vulnerable people Well-organized and detail-oriented Manual work and handling capability Good verbal communication skills Ability to work alone or in a team Clean driving licence and access to a vehicle Availability for out-of-hours work
