Operating across Ireland, UK and Europe, Boven Safety Group are a leading Health & Safety Consultancy and Health & Safety Contracting Provider to our leading multinational Construction, Fit-Out, & Manufacturing based clients. Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth for the company by identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities in the health and safety sector across UK, Ireland & Europe. The role involves promoting Health & Safety services to a wide range of industries, building long-term client relationships, and contributing to strategic business planning. Although primarily office based from our head office in Hillsborough, County Down, this role will require occasional travel to client’s offices & sites throughout Ireland, UK & Europe.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Business Development Manager located in Hillsborough, Co. Down. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding the company's client base. Day-to-day tasks include networking, lead generation, proposal writing, and client relationship management.
Key responsibilities
* Identify and approach potential clients in sectors such as construction, manufacturing, logistics, hospitality & energy
* Promote the company’s services, including consultancy, recruitment, contracting and retained consultancy packages
* Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads and manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to contract close.
* Build trusted relationships with decision-makers including HSE Managers, Facilities Managers, HR Directors, and Managing Directors.
* Collaborate with consultants and technical teams to create bespoke service proposals.
* Attend client meetings, industry events, and networking functions to build brand awareness.
* Prepare tenders and assist in writing bids and proposals for public and private sector opportunities.
* Monitor and report on market trends, competitor activity, and client feedback.
* Meet or exceed agreed sales targets and KPIs.
* Maintain accurate records in the CRM system.
Qualifications
* Experience in business development, sales, or a related field
* Strong communication, negotiation, and networking skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Knowledge of health and safety procedures would be an advantage
* Experience in proposal writing and client relationship management
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
* Relevant certifications in business development or sales
* Proficient in CRM platforms and Microsoft Office.
