Job Title: Support Worker — Location: Leicester — Salary: £15.00 - £15.50 per hour — Job Type: Bank Staff (Flexible Hours)
About the Role
As a Complex Care Support Worker in Leicester, you'll be working with individuals who have conditions such as brain injuries, spinal injuries, strokes, and other neurological or physical challenges.
Responsibilities
* Personal Care: Assisting with daily tasks such as washing, dressing, and feeding.
* Clinical Care: Administering medication, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining accurate care records.
* Promoting Independence: Encouraging clients to maintain as much independence as possible in their daily lives.
* Emotional Support: Providing companionship and reassurance to clients and their families.
* Collaborative Care: Working alongside other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic care plans.
About You
To be considered for this role, you'll ideally have:
* 12 months of experience in a complex care setting, particularly with individuals with neurological or physical conditions.
* NVQ level 2 or 3 essential (related to healthcare)
* A willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and nights, on a bank basis.
* A full driving licence and access to a vehicle, as some clients may need support attending appointments or activities.
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A caring, empathetic approach, with a passion for supporting others.
