We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly respected organisation in the engineering and manufacturing sector. Our client is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Packing Coordinator to join their busy operations team.

Key Responsibilities:
Carry out all shipping, packing, and receiving duties in accordance with established procedures
Transport materials, including hazardous items, around the facility using appropriate equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.)
Maintain accurate shipping inventory and ensure materials are well stocked (e.g. boxes, tape, bubble wrap)
Verify physical counts against documentation to ensure shipping accuracy
Assist with developing packing specifications alongside manufacturing and engineering teams
Generate and maintain essential shipping documentation such as packing slips, Bills of Lading, invoices, and export declarations
Coordinate with sales, planning, and logistics teams to ensure efficient and cost-effective routing
Unload and inspect goods for damage, correct labelling, and overall compliance
Provide training and cross-training to team members as required
Ensure compliance with trade regulations and export control procedures.
About You:
Essential:
Experience in a shipping, warehouse, or logistics environment
Strong working knowledge of export documentation and compliance procedures
Good computer literacy and confidence using carrier systems and databases
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade 7/B or above in Maths and English
Physically fit and comfortable working in a hands-on operational role
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable:
Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
Familiarity with international freight or working with freight forwarders
Forklift licence (not essential, training may be provided).
