About the Role
As a Science Teacher, you will deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching Key Stage 5 depending on your subject specialism and experience. Key responsibilities include:
* Planning and delivering high-quality Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
* Teaching Biology, Chemistry, or Physics depending on your specialism
* Delivering practical experiments and investigations in a safe and engaging way
* Monitoring pupil progress through assessment and effective feedback
* Differentiating lessons to support pupils of varying abilities
* Maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment
* Contributing to curriculum planning and departmental collaboration
* Supporting enrichment opportunities such as STEM clubs or science competitions
Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
* Have strong subject knowledge in Science
* Demonstrate the ability to deliver engaging and structured lessons
* Have excellent classroom management and communication skills
* Be committed to supporting pupils’ academic progress and curiosity in science
