Vacancy title: Rural Payment Wales Team Support

Salary range: £27,302 to £29,291

Locations: Mid Wales, South West Wales (Llandrindod, Aberystwyth, Carmarthen)


Purpose of Post

These posts support the Rural Payments Wales (RPW) division, which administers around £300 million of funding per year. The role involves processing and mapping tasks across a range of rural payment schemes.


Roles & Responsibilities


Processing Support

* Process customer applications and manage claims across RPW schemes.
* Carry out mapping tasks, spatial checks and data validation.
* Ensure work aligns with scheme rules, audit requirements and quality standards.
* Provide flexible support and cover with other colleagues as needed.


Data Capture

* Capture data and manipulate via bespoke mapping system, ensuring scheme rules are followed.
* Carry out geographic data checks to establish required changes using reference data and imagery.
* Quality‑check work, identify and correct errors.
* Use digital systems and datasets to support accurate and timely decision‑making.


Key Tasks (shared across Team Support)

* Provide effective administrative support, including documentation and correspondence.
* Maintain audit trails and accurate records.
* Manage shared mailbox and communications.
* Insert/maintain data in Welsh Government digital systems.
* Plan and support meetings, workshops, and events.
* Provide frontline customer support.
* Collaborate across teams to deliver consistent service.
* Ensure compliance with policies and governance.
