A new position has opened up at Ealing Hospital for a Band 3 Enhanced Observation Health Care Assistant, Mental Health. Our friendly and supportive team offers the chance to work closely with dedicated professionals. We are looking for personable, motivated individuals with exceptional communication and teamwork abilities to support our qualified staff in delivering patient‑centred care and improving overall patient experience.
This role is specifically designed to assist patients requiring enhanced observation and presenting with a diverse range of health issues. As a valued member of our team, you will be responsible for carrying out practical tasks with patients on a one‑to‑one basis under the supervision of qualified staff.

Responsibilities
* Support patients requiring enhanced observation and diverse health issues.
* Carry out practical tasks with patients on a one‑to‑one basis under the supervision of qualified staff.
* Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient‑centred care.
* Assist with daily activities and support the overall well‑being of patients.
* Help maintain a safe and positive working environment for patients and staff.

Person Specification
* Level 3 NVQ in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
* Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant.
* Experience caring for patients with mental health needs.
* Experience working with patients with dementia.
* Minimum two years of experience working with mental health patients in acute settings.
* Knowledge of fundamental care needs of dementia/mental health patients and ability to record vital signs (NEWS).
* Evidence of good communication skills.
