About the Role
Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a talented teacher of History to join a secondary school in Bury. This is a full-time temporary teaching position from September 2025, covering the entire first term. The school is interested in recruiting a permanent teacher, so there is potential for the role to become permanent.
Responsibilities
* Teach History to Key Stage 4 students, primarily Year 11 classes
* Work five days a week, from 8:15 am to 3:30 pm
Candidate Requirements
* Hold QTS Status or QTLS
* Experience teaching Key Stage 4, especially Year 11 classes, is essential
* Open to Early Career Teachers and experienced QTS teachers
* Subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable), and professional references checks
* Provide a CV with full employment and education history, explaining any employment gaps
* Have the legal right to work in the UK
* Possess Qualified Teacher Status to be covered on the school's insurance, as the role involves practical food teaching
