The Grocery Service Centre near Liverpool supports multiple ABF brands with shared services in Customer Services, Consumer Care, Finance, Payroll, HR, and IS.
We are looking for a proactive Stores & Purchasing Controller to join our engineering team in Stockport. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are organized, this role offers professional growth in stores management, purchasing systems, and stakeholder communication.
Responsibilities
1. Manage stock levels to ensure availability and minimize downtime.
2. Utilize systems like EAM and SAP to streamline stock control and provisioning.
3. Collaborate with site management and central teams on stock and contract requirements.
4. Maintain accurate stores documentation for audits.
5. Handle purchasing to secure best prices, receipts, and returns.
Key Performance Indicators
1. Stock accuracy and issue precision.
2. Regular stock checks to ensure system accuracy.
3. Manage engineering spend within budget.
4. Timely ordering to meet operational needs.
Candidate Requirements
* GCSE Grade C / 4 or above, with Maths & English.
* Experience in supply chain stores, preferably in engineering.
* Proficiency in stores management systems, MS Office, CMMS (preferably Mainsaver), and SAP.
* Strong communication and analytical skills.
* Understanding of Health and Safety in engineering environments.
