About the Role
Are you looking to take your nursing (RGN, RNLD, RMN), occupational therapy, paramedic, or physiotherapy career in a new direction? This role offers a balance of work, education, and development opportunities into the medico-legal profession or occupational/vocational pathways.
* You will assess up to four to six customers per day.
* Assessments may be on paper, telephone, video, or face-to-face.
* Gather clinical observations, conduct questioning, and create written reports.
* Pass assessments to the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) for decision-making on support, including Personal Independent Payments or Employment and Support Allowance.
Training & Development
Receive industry-leading training from experienced clinical tutors, equipping you to support customers and transfer your current medical skills to this role. The full training lasts approximately 6 months, during which you will be paid. Your registration with RGN or HCPC will be maintained, with ongoing revalidation support.
Post-training, you will benefit from continuous CPD, revalidation support, and career development opportunities, including study for the Diploma in Disability Assessment Medicine accredited by the FOM, with a clinical supervisor allocated to you.
Your Requirements
Applicants should be nurses, OTs, paramedics, or physiotherapists with at least 1 year of experience in inpatient roles, handling diverse clinical conditions. IT skills and typing speed of 35 WPM are advantageous. Candidates must be highly literate, detail-oriented, and possess adaptable communication skills.
