Stagecoach Aldershot Depot, part of one of the UK's largest bus operators, employs 170 drivers and operates buses on urban, rural, and inter-urban routes across the Black Water Valley. We're a vital part of the communities serving over 30 million passenger journeys per year.
We have an outstanding Operations Team in Aldershot, and you’ll be joining at a truly exciting moment. The depot is currently undergoing a major transformation as we move towards full electrification, with our electric fleet set to launch in the new year.
We are now seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Depot Operations Manager to lead, inspire, and support our team. In this pivotal role, you will drive exceptional service delivery for our customers, champion a robust safety culture, and ensure that our people and our customers remain at the heart of everything we do.
To succeed, you will need a strong track record in team leadership and a proven ability to achieve operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, develop, and ensure the welfare of over 170 drivers.
* Plan and deliver a cost-effective, customer-focused daily operation.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Ensure the delivery of a safe, reliable, and high-quality service.
* Work collaboratively with the Engineering Manager to drive overall depot performance.
What We’re Looking For:
* An experienced Operations Manager, ready for a new challenge.
* Transport Manager CPC Level 3 qualification (or willingness to work towards it).
* Strong communication skills with the ability to lead with confidence and clarity.
* Working knowledge of allocation systems and relevant transport legislation.
* A calm, capable approach to typical management challenges.
