The Opportunity JFD have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Storesperson to join the team. The successful candidate will ensure the prompt management of receiving, storage and issuing materials required for production, operations and projects. Where controlled products are involved, there is a requirement to ensure segregation and control of any products issued in line with the Export Control regulations. Key Accountabilities Monitor and control stock levels ensuring FIFO (first in first out) principles are followed for all material issued Conduct perpetual cycle count activity to ensure that both the integrity of stockholding and inventory valuations are accurately maintained. Control of components that are identified as having a prescribed shelf-life Ensure that incoming and outgoing material has the relevant paperwork in line with our quality and customer requirements Work with Production and Operations functions to issue material in line with business requirements Prepare and coordinate all shipping activity including weights and dimensions Locating – Locate goods into stock locations ensuring material is labelled up accurately and storage space is adequate for material, and it is packaged appropriately for storage. Update locations in Glovia accurately Picking – Review orders and participate in the accurate picking, packing and delivery of customer orders within agreed timescales Responsible for complying with all company HS&E (Health & Safety) and warehouse procedural requirements Accountable for housekeeping throughout the Stores and surrounding areas to include the yard, ensuring that all housekeeping duties are carried out daily Skills, Experience And Qualifications Previous experience in a warehouse environment essential Experience of using an MRP system Strong attention to detail Literacy and numeracy skills Experience of operating a forklift is preferred At JFD we offer Competitive salary 26 days holidays plus Christmas, Boxing Day, 1st and 2nd January Company pension Cycle to work scheme Private Medical Insurance Half day on Fridays If this sounds like the ideal next step in your career, then click ‘apply’ now!
