Bleakhouse Primary School is a vibrant two-form entry primary school located in Oldbury, West Midlands. We cater for pupils from Nursery through to Year 6 with our Nursery offering both 15 and 30-hour places to support families’ needs. We are proud to have been rated Good by Ofsted in June 2023. We are seeking a dynamic Assistant Headteacher to join our thriving school community. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to take their first step into whole school senior leadership and to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our school. The prospective candidate will lead on developing a whole school approach to teaching and learning to support raising standards. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate with a passion for teaching and learning.
As Assistant Headteacher, you will:
* Lead and manage the KS2, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning
* Serve as the school’s Teaching and Learning leader, driving a consistent pedagogy across school and thereby raising standards.
* Support teaching and learning through coaching, modelling and team teaching across the whole school.
* Act as a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), maintaining the highest standards of child protection and welfare.
* Support the Headteacher in the strategic leadership and management of the school.
* Promote a positive school culture aligned with our clear vision and values.
* Lead, inspire, and develop staff to ensure continuous professional growth and outstanding pupil progress.
We are looking for someone who:
* Has proven leadership experience in primary education either within a subject, year group or phase.
* Is an outstanding classroom practitioner who is able to motivate and inspire others.
* Has taught across the primary phase.
* Is committed to inclusive education and fostering a supportive learning environment.
* Is passionate about continuous improvement and professional development.
