Opened in September 2024, Ormston School provides a safe and supportive environment for pupils aged 5 to 18. Your Role and Responsibilities
As a SEND Teacher, you will:
* Teach small bespoke class groups of up to 6 pupils, supported by a Teaching Assistant.
* Plan, prepare, and present engaging lessons tailored to the needs of all learners.
* Assess, monitor, and report on the learning needs, progress, and achievements of your pupils.
* Adapt your teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of each student.
* Set high standards that inspire, motivate, and challenge your pupils.
* Participate in preparing learners for external tests.
* Teach across the KS3/KS4 curriculum, with a focus on SEND adaptations.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will need:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
* Successful teaching experience, particularly in delivering qualifications up to GCSE.
* Experience in Humanities, PE, or vocational subject areas is preferred.
* Knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
* A good understanding of how children learn and the ability to adapt teaching accordingly.
* Strong relationship-building skills with pupils.
* Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding practices.
* Good ICT skills to support learning.

Working Conditions
This is a full-time, term-time only position with a competitive salary ranging from £28,000 to £39,520. Join us in making a difference!
