Be part of the team. Keep the yard moving. Deliver for our customers. We’re looking for an experienced Forklift Truck Driver to join the team at our busy Maidstone branch. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced yard where you’ll play a key part in keeping operations running smoothly — from picking and loading to supporting customers and maintaining a safe, organised environment. The Role As a Forklift Truck Driver, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day movement of stock and supporting the wider yard operation. Your responsibilities will include: • Safely operating a counterbalance forklift • Picking loads and preparing orders for dispatch • Loading and unloading company, customer, and supplier vehicles • Assisting customers and drivers in the yard • Keeping the yard clean, organised, and well presented • Managing stock rotation and highlighting any issues • Carrying out daily checks on plant and machinery, reporting defects and safety concerns About You You’ll be reliable, safety-conscious, and take pride in doing a job well. You’ll also enjoy working as part of a team and delivering great service to customers: • Valid counterbalance forklift licence with at least 2 years’ experience • Experience in a builders merchant, ideally within civils/groundworks • Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling • Good communication and organisational skills • Strong attention to detail • A proactive, team-focused approach • Good understanding of health and safety practices • Eligible to work in the UK What’s in it for you? • Competitive Salary • Discretionary bonus scheme • 20 days holiday plus Bank Holidays • Hours: 7am – 5pm, Monday to Friday If you’re looking for a practical role with a great team — and you take pride in keeping things moving — we’d love to hear from you.
