Job Description
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Head of Indirect Procurement to lead and manage all aspects of indirect spend across our organisation. This pivotal role will ensure the efficient procurement of non-production goods and services-including IT, marketing, professional services, facilities, and logistics-driving value, efficiency, and innovation in alignment with our corporate goals.
As a senior leader, you will play a crucial role in shaping our procurement strategy, enhancing supplier relationships, ensuring cost optimisation, and championing sustainable sourcing practices.
Key Responsibilities
* Strategy Development & Execution
o Define and implement the indirect procurement strategy aligned with organisational objectives and global best practices.
o Drive category management excellence across all areas of indirect spend.
* Leadership & Team Management
o Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement team.
o Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
* Supplier Relationship Management
o Build and manage strategic relationships with key suppliers and partners.
o Oversee supplier performance, negotiation of contracts, and ensure compliance with service-level agreements.
* Cost Optimisation & Value Creation
o Identify and execute cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or service.
o Drive total cost of ownership (TCO) thinking across categories.
* Process Improvement & Governance
o Establish robust procurement policies, processes, and systems.
o Ensure procurement activities comply with internal controls, ethics, and regulatory requirements.
* Stakeholder Engagement
o Partner with internal stakeholders (IT, HR, Marketing, Operations) to understand business needs and deliver procurement solutions.
o Influence senior leaders on procurement value and opportunities.
* Sustainability & Risk Management
o Champion ESG initiatives in the supply chain, focusing on sustainable and ethical sourcing.
o Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring business continuity.
Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field (Master's degree or MBA preferred).
* Professional certification (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) strongly desirable.
* Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in procurement with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing indirect categories.
* Strong experience in the automotive, manufacturing, or distribution sectors preferred.
* Proven track record in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and procurement transformation.
