Responsibilities
* Work alongside the class teacher and other Teaching Assistants supporting pupils with everyday school life.
* Support pupils with challenging behaviour, Autism, ADHD and social, emotional and mental health needs.
* Be positive and proactive and contribute as an excellent team player in a varied and engaging curriculum, including additional extracurricular activities.
* Adapt to the school environment with confidence to support students with SEMH needs.
* Engage with students using caring, resilient and creative approaches to help them achieve best outcomes.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Experience of working in prisons or with young offenders is desirable.
* Skills and attributes to develop and support young people with SEMH needs.
* Caring, resilient, able to think outside the box and adapt to surroundings with confidence.
Details
The school provides quality alternative provision for both primary and secondary aged children. Positions are generally on a temporary to permanent basis. The school seeks staff who are positive, proactive and excellent team players.
