Talent Acquisition Specialist (Engineering)

An established and growing engineering business is looking to appoint a Talent Acquisition Specialist to support continued team expansion.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a recruitment professional who enjoys owning the full end-to-end process and wants to play a key role in shaping hiring strategy within a fast-paced technical engineering environment.
The Role
Reporting to the Recruitment Manager, you will take responsibility for managing the recruitment lifecycle from advert creation through to the offer stage. Key responsibilities include:
1. Writing and posting clear, engaging job adverts across LinkedIn, Indeed and social platforms
2. Managing applications through an ATS system
3. Screening CVs and conducting initial 30-minute Teams interviews
4. Coordinating interviews with hiring managers
5. Supporting practical assessments and assessment centres (including graduate recruitment)
6. Preparing interview packs and ensuring smooth candidate experiences
7. Producing recruitment reports and monitoring KPIs
8. Identifying improvements to streamline processes and enhance quality
The majority of roles you will recruit for sit within engineering disciplines (mechanical and software), so confidence in handling technical vacancies is important.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
9. Experienced in end-to-end recruitment (2–3+ years in-house or agency)
10. Highly organised and confident managing multiple live vacancies
11. Comfortable using ATS platforms and recruitment analytics
12. Confident conducting screening interviews
13. Energetic, proactive and solutions-focused
14. Interested in engineering or experienced in recruiting within technical environments
Exposure to engineering terminology or experience working within a technical business would be highly advantageous.
The Environment
This is a fully onsite role in a collaborative office and manufacturing environment (no public transport access – own transport required). You’ll work closely with hiring managers across the business and be part of a supportive People & Culture team.
