DNV’s procurement organization, Real Estate Management & Procurement (REM Proc) is currently undergoing a transformation in order to increase its maturity, professionalism and capabilities across indirect spend categories and geographies. A new vision and strategy for procurement has been developed resulting in that a new global procurement operating model is being implemented within DNV. A key part of this new operating model is related to new talent and in particular new Procurement Expert talent which will have a close collaboration with Global Category Leads, Regional Managers and Global Center specialists. These roles are essential for the new operating model and form a critical success factor for the procurement transformation.
Role description
1. The role is a multi-role typically covering regional (tactical) sourcing, contract, and supplier management execution and supporting the Global Category Lead.
2. Supporting Regional Manager with global category strategy execution and regional category strategy development work might be applicable
3. The Procurement expert will have a close collaboration with multiple stakeholders including Global Center Procurement specialists performing administrational/transactional/operations activities including content & catalog management using Basware.
4. The role is mainly cross procurement categories on a regional level but may require a Global reach (exceptions with a more category specific focus can be applicable)
5. The tactical strategy execution scope covers supplier, sourcing and contract management developed by the Global Category Lead and translated into regional category strategy by the regional team.
6. The Procurement expert has a vital role in the cross-functional category teams led by the Global Category Lead consisting of relevant representatives from GSS REM/Proc (global and regional), business and other GSS functions and covers all aspects of the relevant category.
7. The Procurement expert (together with Regional Manager) will add the regional aspects into the category teams, both category specific and not category specific requirements/aspects.

Key responsibilities
With an overarching Category Management approach to our ways of working, the Procurement Expert will work across a broad spectrum of indirect categories within the region to support the global category strategy execution. This will dictate the regional category strategy development that will be developed by the Procurement Expert to support the REM Proc Regional Manager. Typically responsibilities below include;
Sourcing Management
9. Execute sourcing (go-to-supplier market) strategy as per relevant category specific strategy (supplier, sourcing, contract, pricing strategy)
10. Seamlessly integrate sourcing, negotiation and contracting aspects to make contracts ready for implementation and purchasing
Contract Management
11. Management of annual tender plans
12. Utilizing appropriate contract documentation to help manage risk
13. Manage contract risks, expirations, renewals and terminations proactively whilst ensuring compliance
14. Develop appropriate buying channels to ensure maximum benefit is derived from the contracts in place.
Supplier Management
15. Secure good relations with strategic and preferred suppliers
16. Monitor and manage supplier performance and provide input to supplier base management
17. Monitor and manage supplier risk incl. risk mitigation plans development and execution

Qualifications
26. MCIPS or working towards formal qualification in procurement / and or University level degree within engineering, economics or similar
27. At least 3-5 years of experience from procurement and preferably holistic category management experience (preferably from a large international organization)
28. Previous indirect and/or direct procurement experience and preferably from a variety of goods/services
29. Experience specifically as Procurement expert, buyer, sourcing/contract/supplier expert
30. Experience/Familiar in the use of SAP/Oracle/Basware Finance systems and Procurement modules
31. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office/Word/Excel/PowerPoint
32. Good communication skills in English (oral and written)
