Set within a picturesque farmland and orchards, the property offers a calm and rural lifestyle. The principals are a relaxed, welcoming couple who divide their time between their country home, their work in London, and residences abroad.
The family enjoys European travel and occasionally takes their housekeeper along when staying in France. They are seeking a caring, responsible, and proactive professional to support the smooth running of their household, care for their beloved pets, and maintain the property to an impeccable standard. This is a varied and fulfilling position, blending housekeeping with light cooking, pet care, and occasional caretaking duties when the family travels. The housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining the home to a consistently high standard, organising daily routines, and ensuring the property is guest-ready.
The role requires someone flexible, self-sufficient, and animal-loving, with the confidence to manage household tasks independently and the initiative to take responsibility for the smooth operation of the home. A driving licence is essential due to the countryside location, though a car will be provided for household errands.

Main Duties
* General housekeeping: cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, deep cleaning
* Laundry management: washing, ironing, and wardrobe organisation
* Keeping the household running smoothly, including grocery shopping and stocking supplies
* Occasional light cooking/meal preparation (mainly European cuisine)
* Pet care: walking, feeding, and providing companionship for 2 cocker spaniels; topping up food for cats
* House sitting and caretaking responsibilities when the family is abroad
* Ensuring the property is well-maintained, coordinating with tradespeople when required
* Flexibility to assist during guest visits (bed changes, household organisation, meal support)
Minimal Requirements
* 3+ years’ experience as a private Housekeeper in a similar role
* 2 excellent checkable references
* Conversational English
* UK working permit (EU visa/permit needed)
* Driving licence (manual; car provided for use)
* Love of animals and countryside living
