Nottingham City Council has an exciting new opportunity for you to join our enthusiastic, dynamic, and diverse Whole Life Disability teams within Adult Social Care.
We welcome applications from candidates at all stages of their Social Work career, and have a structured career development framework in place for all Social Workers:
Social Worker Level 1 – Newly qualified, eligible to commence the ASYE programme
1. Salary £31,586 - £34,314 (Nottingham City Council Adult Social Care offer a robust ASYE programme for newly qualified Social Workers)
Social Worker Level 2 – ASYE completed within the last 12 months, building experience and competency
2. Salary £35,235 - £37,938
Social Worker Level 3 – Experienced Social Worker with at least 12 months post-ASYE experience
3. Salary £39,513 - £42,708
Social Worker Level 4 – Advanced Social Worker, holding AMHP, BIA or Practice Educator status
4. Salary £44,711 - £47,754 (Nottingham City Council Adult Social Care offer various development programmes for all Social Workers, such as AMHP qualifications and Practice Educator status)
Nottingham City Council Adult Social Care are looking to recruit to the following roles on a fixed term basis:
5. WLD Team North - 2 X Social Worker
6. WLD Team South - 1 X Social Worker
The Whole Life Disability teams (North and South) support citizens with physical and learning disabilities from childhood right through to adulthood to ensure a smooth transition between services. The team works closely with Health colleagues to commission and support citizens in a range of services including community support, residential and hospital settings.
Adult Social Workers work closely with their Children's Social Care counterparts, and continue to provide support as citizens transition into adulthood and may require more long term support plans to be put in place. They will maintain professional relationships and support networks, as well as liaising with the Safeguarding team as and when appropriate.

We have a Hybrid model of working in Whole Life Disability and therefore you will have the opportunity to work from home and an office base, in agreement with your line manager.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
7. Professional qualification in Social Work (Degree in Social work, Dip SW, CQSW, CSS and evidence of current Social Work England registration
8. Enhanced knowledge and application of legal, policy frameworks and research which inform and mandate Social Work practice
9. Substantial experience of undertaking Social Work with adults across a range of functions including assessment, care management and review
10. Understanding and application of identity, diversity and equality to practice
11. Experience in making effective use of supervision to include case escalation, reflection and excellence in practice
This post is covered by the statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) (English Language Requirement for public sector workers) and therefore the ability to speak fluent English, is an essential requirement for the role
A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
