Walkers Chocolates is a well-established global confectionery manufacturer and trusted private label partner to leading Retailer and Discounter channels. As we continue to expand our footprint, we are looking for a commercially driven National Account Manager to join our growing Commercial team.
This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of key discounter accounts while supporting major retailer relationships alongside the Retail Commercial Manager. You’ll play a direct role in driving customer strategy, product launches and sustainable growth within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
The Role
As National Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing customer relationships, delivering commercial targets and supporting strategic account development.
Key Responsibilities
• Take ownership of a portfolio of accounts, building strong relationships and identifying growth opportunities
• Partner with the Retail Commercial Manager to support major retailer strategies and joint business plans
• Lead and support product launches across Retailer and Discounter channels
• Assist in developing customer business plans aligned with company objectives
• Monitor pricing, promotions, margins and financial performance
• Act as the key link between Sales, Supply Chain and Finance to ensure alignment on forecasts and timelines
• Prepare customer presentations, business reviews and insight-led proposals
• Manage account administration, trackers and project timelines to ensure on-time delivery
About You
We’re looking for a commercially minded, organised and analytical individual who thrives in a fast-moving FMCG environment.
You will bring:
• 1–2 years’ experience in a commercial, sales support or national account role (ideally FMCG, retail or discounter)
• Strong understanding of customer relationship management
• Commercial awareness including pricing, promotions and P&L impact
• Confidence working with data to support forecasting and strategic decisions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
