Technical Support Engineer - Pump Industry
Location: Shrewsbury Shrosphire
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm
Salary: £28,000 - £36,000 per annum (depending on experience)
We are currently seeking a permanent Technical Support Engineer to join a growing team within the pump industry. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded individual who enjoys problem-solving, customer interaction, and working across engineering projects from enquiry through to completion.
Responsibilities
* Providing technical assistance to customers and internal teams
* Acting as a key point of contact for customer liaison
* Completion of technical quotations and accurate equipment sizing
* Preparation and completion of technical tenders
* Project management duties, including maintaining accurate project files
* Working with SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD drawings
* Handling technical queries via phone and email
* Supporting general workshop duties as required
* Occasional supervised site visits
* Maintaining a safe and compliant working environment at all times
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Experience within the pump industry or a related engineering field (preferred)
* Strong technical understanding and problem-solving skills
* Ability to read and work with technical drawings
* Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach
* Organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks
* A proactive attitude and willingness to support across departments
