Job Description
We are recruiting for two Interim Floating Team Managers to work across community social work teams in the Trafford, Greater Manchester area. These posts will provide vital management support where demand is greatest, ensuring staff are supported and waiting lists are effectively managed.
Post 1: Front Door / Interim Triage TeamFocused on leading and supervising the interim triage team, managing new contacts to the service, driving the prevention agenda, signposting residents appropriately, and ensuring effective oversight of decision-making.
Post 2: Neighbourhood TeamsWorking flexibly across four neighbourhood teams (Sale, Partington, Altrincham, Trafford Town Hall) to provide management support, supervision, and capacity where required.

Responsibilities:
* Support strategic planning and service delivery within Neighbourhood Services
* Ensure high quality Care Act assessments and person-centred, strengths-based practice that promotes independence
* Take the lead on complex safeguarding cases
* Use performance data to inform decision-making and shape preventative approaches
* Provide supervision and professional support to social workers
* Collaborate with commissioning colleagues, partner agencies and third sector organisations to deliver effective models of support
* Contribute to Trafford's improvement journey and corporate priorities
To be considered for the role, ideally you will have:
* Recognised professional Social Work qualification (CQSW, CSS, DipSW, Degree in Social Work or equivalent)
* Registration with Social Work England
* Best Interest Assessor (BIA) or Practice Educator qualification desirable
* Evidence of continued professional and personal development
* Proven experience at Team Manager level, with the ability to step into complex and high-pressure environments
* Substantial experience in adult services within a social care setting as a practitioner
