Responsibilities
* Perform high quality FCAW and MMA welding to required standards and procedures.
* Work across a variety of ship repair and heavy engineering tasks.
* Read, interpret, and work from engineering drawings and specifications.
* Carry out fabrication, fitting, and assembly work where required.
* Conduct weld repairs, inspections, and rework to maintain structural integrity.
* Adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies at all times.
* Work both on the main Southampton site and occasionally at off-site locations.
* Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and serviceable condition.
Job Requirements
* Coded or previously coded FCAW / MMA Welder (valid or recently expired codes accepted).
* Demonstrable experience in ship repair, shipbuilding, or heavy engineering.
* Ability to work confidently from technical drawings.
* Flexibility to work on-site and off-site as required.
* Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
* Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
Benefits
* 28/h Standard, plus weekend overtime rates ( 35/ 37/h) (can go CIS)
