Role Description
The Senior Freight Operator role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bangor. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing freight operations, ensuring the efficient coordination of shipments via air, sea, and road. Day-to-day tasks include liaising with clients, managing customs compliance, resolving logistical challenges, and maintaining cost-effective supply chain solutions. The role requires close collaboration with partners, clients, and internal teams to deliver superior service and streamline operations.
Qualifications
* Relevant previous experience in freight or logistics operations
* Proficiency in freight management across air, sea, and road logistics
* Strong understanding of customs compliance, permits, and regulatory processes
* Exceptional organisational and problem-solving skills to handle operational challenges
* Excellent communication and client-relations skills for fostering partnerships
* Ability to work collaboratively with teams and independently as required
* Experience in using freight forwarding software and tools is an advantage
* A bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business, or a related field is preferred
