Recovery Nurse Location: Salford Royal Hospital Employer: Bluestones Medical Pay Rate: £16.00 - £27.00 per hour Job Type: Agency / Flexible Shifts / Temporary Ongoing Job Overview Bluestones Medical is currently recruiting experienced and compassionate Recovery Nurses to support busy theatre recovery departments at Salford Royal Hospital. This role offers flexible agency shifts and competitive rates for nurses experienced in post-anaesthetic and post-operative care. The successful candidate will play a key role in monitoring and caring for patients recovering from anaesthesia, ensuring safe and effective recovery following surgical procedures. Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality care to patients in the post-anaesthetic recovery unit (PACU) Monitor patients' airway, breathing, circulation, and pain management following surgery Recognise and respond appropriately to post-operative complications or deterioration Administer medications and treatments in line with clinical guidelines Maintain accurate patient records and recovery documentation Communicate effectively with theatre staff, anaesthetists, surgeons, and ward teams Ensure patient safety, dignity, and comfort at all times Adhere to infection prevention, health & safety, and NHS policies Requirements Valid NMC registration as a Registered Nurse (Adult) Previous experience working within a recovery or PACU setting Strong clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills Ability to work effectively in fast-paced clinical environments Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Up-to-date mandatory training certificates preferred Right to work in the UK Desirable Experience Experience within NHS theatre recovery departments Immediate availability for shifts Previous agency nursing experience ALS or ILS certification beneficial What Bluestones Medical Offers Competitive hourly rates from £16.00 to £27.00 Flexible shifts to fit your schedule Weekly pay Dedicated consultant support Opportunities for regular bookings and ongoing work Fast and efficient registration process
