A lovely new role working for a global household business that owns many well-known brands. They are seeking an experienced and ambitious Procurement Manager to join their team.
This role reports to the Head of Category Management and manages key spend areas such as MRO, International Freight, Warehousing, Operational Spend, and Utilities. Candidates with a broad range of indirect category management experience are encouraged to apply.
Role and responsibilities:
* Develop strategies leading to delivery and performance, including annualized savings.
* Create group-wide category plans to ensure alignment and leverage suppliers for local offices.
* Engage and influence senior stakeholders from Director to Board level, utilizing strong market knowledge.
* Build relationships with key stakeholders to understand supplier performance.
* Monitor supplier risk and performance through reporting tools and feedback.
* Model procurement excellence by living company values and promoting procurement relationships.
* Over-deliver on strategic projects while ensuring optimal service and cost efficiency.
Experience and requirements:
* Experience in indirect category procurement within large, complex organizations.
* Preferred categories include Warehousing, International Freight, MRO, Logistics, and Operations.
* Procurement experience in the private sector, ideally within a global business.
* Experience managing complex global projects with Tier 1 & 2 suppliers of significant value.
* Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders across regions.
* Strategic approach to procurement, suppliers, and business needs.
* Excellent communication skills across different cultures and countries.
* Adaptability in a fast-paced, changing environment.
* MCIPS qualification is desirable but not essential.
