Job Description
As a Customer Service Assistant, you will play a vital role in the daily operations of our store by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing transactions, and maintaining store appearance.
You will be encouraged to seek continuous improvement in service delivery through on-the-job coaching and feedback, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for customers and colleagues alike.
Responsibilities
* Serve customers with passion and pride, delivering natural, friendly service.
* Encourage customer feedback via the ‘have your say’ survey.
* Assist across various store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines to meet customer needs.
* Implement training to ensure safety and compliance.
* Participate in seasonal, community, and charity events to foster an inclusive atmosphere.
* Be knowledgeable about store performance and contribute to profit delivery.
* Live our values, make everyone feel welcome, and adhere to policies.
* Clock in and out accurately to ensure correct payment.
* Follow security procedures and wear safety equipment.
* Serve age-restricted products responsibly, following the 'think 25' policy.
* Respond promptly to assistance calls, explaining actions to customers.
* Maintain a clean, organized store environment.
* In the absence of managers, may be responsible for running shifts.
* Follow all training to ensure safety and legality.
Note: If the store has a Post Office Local, duties will include Post Office operations, requiring passing a background check. Failure to pass will result in withdrawal of the job offer.
