We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is able to support service users to participate in Physiotherapy assessments and interventions within our busy hospital setting. Examples of interventions include strengthening exercises, walking practice and stretches. You will be encouraged to work autonomously, with training and supervision from a senior Specialist Physiotherapist.
The successful applicant will be passionate about supporting people to improve their physical health whilst having an appreciation of how mental health can impact on an individual's physical health.
The postholder will be an excellent communicator and team worker, who is able to build rapport with people from all walks of life, and also be confident with documentation and liaising with multidisciplinary team members.
The postholder will be an integrated part of the Therapy team, which includes Occupational Therapists and a Speech and Language Therapist, as well as the wider ward team. We have a well-resourced Therapy department and a large gym. We support supervision and regular CPD opportunities.
