Overview
We are seeking to appoint a Head of Academy at our alternative provision academy in Nene Valley (OA-NV) who will undertake the day‑to‑day management and leadership following the transition of the previous Head of Academy to a trust leadership role. The successful candidate will ensure the vision and values of the trust are delivered so that OA‑NV is a beacon of best practice in the education and care of pupils, who have experienced difficulty in mainstream schools, so that they can re‑engage with education, make good progress, achieve academically, and, wherever possible, return to a mainstream education.
Responsibilities
Other responsibilities include leadership; teaching and learning; managing both people and resources; safeguarding children; managing partnerships within the community, industry and the wider world; accountability and transparency.
Qualifications
To this end, both an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and a Barred List check are required for this role. We particularly welcome applications from under‑represented groups.
